Our historic estate offers a unique environment where you can focus on your studies, connect with fellow students along with other residential guests from around the world, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of our woodland campus.
Who is it for?
Accommodation at Newbattle Abbey College is available for adult students who:
- Are 18 years of age or over at the time of enrolment
- Live more than 20 miles from the college and are unable to commute daily
- Are able to live independently in a mixed-occupancy environment alongside other students, visiting international students and guests
- Can demonstrate responsible behaviour and a commitment to community living
- Have no unspent criminal convictions and no previous breaches of college tenancy agreements
What We Offer
Our student accommodation offers single, en-suite rooms, each designed to give you comfort and privacy while living as part of a community.
Students are responsible for keeping their own rooms clean and maintaining shared areas in good condition. Housekeeping staff clean communal areas weekly, but communal kitchens require shared responsibility from all residents.

- Private en-suite facilities
- A shared kitchen with cooking utensils, fridge, microwave and kettle

- On-site catering from Monday to Friday, with breakfast, lunch and evening meals available

Priority is normally given to students who live beyond reasonable daily travel distance or have circumstances that make commuting difficult.
